The national arts organization Bundanon is preparing to open the doors of a new art museum and bridge near Nowra later this month. The art museum will open its doors from Saturday January 29 before an official launch weekend on Saturday March 5 involving a festival of performances, music, lectures and workshops led by First Nations. Chief Executive Officer Rachel Kent said she wished everyone a safe and wonderful holiday season and looked forward to a New Year with Bundanon in 2022.
“The opening season at Bundanon celebrates the creative energy and spirit of experimentation that have always been a part of this place,” she said.
“The inaugural exhibition and program are an invitation to immerse yourself in the creative process, encouraging imagination and commitment.
“On the morning of Monday, December 13, Jacob Morris and Raymond Timbery of Gadhungal Murring hosted a beautiful smoking ceremony before Bundanon staff moved into the offices of the art museum.
