Boys Noize and the SuperFarm NFT platform are bringing farmed pigs to the blockchain.
Their next project “Rave Pigs” turns techno and psychedelic art into digital collectibles. Even better, those who choose to participate in the creation of the collection will retain all rights to a piece of Berlin’s underground culture.
The copyright granted to NFT holders has been a hot topic in recent months. Although some of the world’s most important collections frequently fetch exorbitant prices on the open market, many do not grant the holder full copyright to the audio and visual works presented in the NFT.
Conversely, owners of “Rave Pigs” will retain the rights to the art and music heard in the collectibles they own. So it’s easy to see how this forward-thinking approach will likely prove favorable to the collection’s long-term proliferation.
For example, owners of “Rave Pigs” will receive the audio clips from their NFTs for remixing and collaboration with other owners as they see fit. With Boys Noize lending their production prowess to the project, we expect plenty of new music from this horde of animals.
The collection caps precisely at 6,666 hog collectibles, but with a vast repertoire of visual traits and musical characteristics on which the algorithm can draw, over 50 trillion combinations are theoretically possible.
Would-be collectors will have the opportunity to dive into the mud for their very own “Rave Pig” NFT on January 22.
